About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Engineer to install, operate, and maintain our cutting-edge Proton Therapy System (PTS). This role involves troubleshooting, performing maintenance, supporting testing, and contributing to system upgrades, directly impacting clinical operations and global system performance.
Responsibilities
- Document system symptoms, troubleshooting activities, root cause findings, and corrective actions.
- Build trusted relationships with clinical staff by serving as a dependable technical advisor.
- Become an integral member of the local service team by sharing knowledge and supporting teammates.
- Represent the company professionally as the primary technical point of contact for the customer site.
- Balance technical expertise with empathy and professionalism during high-pressure patient care situations.
- Operate, maintain, and optimize the Proton Therapy System throughout all phases of deployment.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, software, and integrated system issues.
- Partner with Engineering and R&D to identify opportunities for equipment improvement.
- Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, system upgrades, and scheduled inspections.
- Communicate system status, risks, and recovery plans clearly and professionally.
- Support hardware and software testing while minimizing disruption to clinical operations.
- Participate in unit, integration, validation, and acceptance testing activities.
- Mentor new team members, subcontractors, and field engineers.
- Train customers on the safe, effective, and efficient operation of the Proton Therapy System.
- Successfully pass Oral Board examinations within the first 12 months of employment.
Requirements

- Trusted partner who builds credibility through professionalism, responsiveness, and sound technical judgment.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Relevant technical experience in electronics/electrical system troubleshooting, mechanical system design and repair, and operations of large systems.
- The ability to work autonomously on well-defined tasks.

- $68,500 - $92,600
