About the Role

The Backend team develops the core of the Alta Video Management System, which are Cloud based distributed systems monitoring and managing Video Cameras, Access Control Systems and Sensors. The team is responsible for analyzing, developing, designing, and maintaining the entire backend ecosystem, including new features, capabilities, capacities, and CI/CD systems and customer deployments. We are an agile team that values autonomy, collaboration, quality, and security.

Responsibilities

Analyzing, developing, designing, and maintaining the entire backend ecosystem.
Developing new features, adding capabilities, and increasing capacities.
Maintaining existing CI/CD systems and customer deployments.

Requirements

Experience working as a software developer.
Experience in building the backend for large cloud based distributed systems.
Experience of a backend language such as Go, C++, Java, Rust or Python.
Enthusiastic and willing to learn new things.
Understanding of service-oriented architectures and building cloud-based products (bonus).
Experience with Machine Learning, Computer Vision, AI technologies (bonus).
Team player who thinks holistically.
Enjoys solving complex problems.
Thrives working autonomously.
Not afraid to ask for input and learn from teammates if stuck.
