About the Role
Our London office has an opportunity for a Civil Field Inspector. Working in a multi-disciplined environment, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects with our Community Development Team.
Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site quality assurance inspection activities for land development projects to record as-constructed conditions and verify conformance with the contract document.
- Coordinate with third parties for Geotechnical inspection and testing as required.
- Prepare construction reports, including erosion and sediment reports, inspection reports, site reports, testing reports, and daily records for submission to Approval Authority.
- Maintain daily photographic records to document construction activities and regularly archive for records.
- Perform quantity surveying including recording underground services elevation to document as-built information.
- Lead on-site construction progress review meetings, including documenting discussion and action items.
- Lead construction progress payment reviews, including tracking and reviewing contemplated change orders for out-of-scope work.
- Serve as a main point of contact on site for the Contractor and the Client.
- Review requests for information, submittals, construction schedules, shop drawings, and pay applications.
- Prepare red-lined as-built drawings.
- Train and/or mentor less experienced staff in company procedures, standards, and software.
- Travel within London and surrounding area will be required.
