About the Role
The MAC Self Perform Technician is responsible for delivering on-demand services relating to furniture systems and furniture repairs for multiple facilities. This role ensures work is performed in accordance with established processes and practices, complying with all internal and external requirements, including environmental and health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Respond to routine and on-demand service requests for furniture systems and furniture repairs.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on furniture, including locks and repairs.
- Handle the removal, disposal, and delivery of furniture.
- Assemble furniture systems.
- Ensure timely completion of work orders to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Maintain quality adherence throughout all tasks.
- Execute activities according to established processes and requirements.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs to assess furniture condition, identify deficiencies, and recommend enhancements or repairs.
- Oversee subcontractors to ensure successful project completion.
- Participate in facility-related projects.
- Maintain work order records in the service management maintenance database.
- Follow company procedures to ensure a safe environment for oneself and others.
- Maintain assigned tools and arrange for necessary repairs or replacements.
- Submit all expenditures in a timely manner.
- Participate in training, safety meetings, operational meetings, and toolbox talks.
- Enhance tenant and customer satisfaction and maintain positive relations through work performance and service delivery.
Requirements
- Experience in assembling/disassembling furniture systems preferred.
- Experience in basic furniture repairs (e.g., arm/caster/pneumatic cylinder).
- Possess a high level of environmental, health, and safety mindset.
- Ability to perform work in a safe manner.
- Strong client-service orientation.
- High sense of urgency.
