About the Role
Responsible for the reliable, secure, and cost-effective design and operation of RED’s IT/OT systems, ensuring efficient resource utilization, minimizing downtime, and implementing robust cybersecurity best practices.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all IT and OT systems are highly reliable and cost effectively maintained.
- Engineer networks for IT and OT systems, including design, implementation, and vulnerability remediation.
- Act as owner of RED’s Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity monitoring/backup/patching system.
- Support other departments by vetting, integrating, and implementing new software applications and tools.
- Coordinate external vendors for annual IT cybersecurity assessments and penetration testing, and remediate identified issues.
- Manage vulnerability scanning tools and remediate identified issues.
- Develop and perform disaster recovery plans and exercises for IT and OT systems.
- Administer RED’s Windows Hybrid M365 environment and Intune device management.
- Manage RED’s various IT & OT servers (physical and virtual, Windows and Linux).
- Administer company-provided cell phones and VOIP phone system.
- Administer security camera system and provide front-line troubleshooting.
- Administer physical access control system and provide front-line troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement IT Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs.
- Administer nearly all cloud-based and locally-hosted applications.
- Act as support escalation point for complex end-user issues.
- Assist in building monitoring of plant, network, and control system assets in OSIsoft PI system.
- Manage and implement small and medium-size IT system projects.
- Assist manager in developing future budgets and managing the current year IT team budget.
- Build detailed documentation of all IT and OT systems and networks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred (in Computer Science, Network Administration, Cybersecurity, Statistics, Science or Engineering), OR an equivalent combination of education & additional experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with Windows domain environments/Microsoft 365, server VM administration, end-user desktop support, and network administration.
- Operational Technology system experience (networking for SCADA or DCS) strongly preferred.
- Current CompTIA A+ holder (or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment).
- Current CCNA holder (or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment).
- Current CCNP holder (or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment).
- OSIsoft PI data collection system experience is a plus.
- Must go in-the-field to support employees where they work with IT equipment.
- Able to operate computer keyboard, printers, copiers, etc.
- Visual and hearing ability.
- Able to move between buildings and climb stairs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and willingness to use a company or personal car to travel about Eastman Business Park.
Skills
- Network Engineering skills (Cisco and Fortinet network equipment configuration experience preferred).
- Windows domain and M365 administration skills.
- Fundamental understanding of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems preferred.

Salary/Compensations
- $120,000 to $155,000 annually
