About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our high-impact team responsible for building the next-generation TV operating system. This role offers direct influence over product direction and involves developing sophisticated backend infrastructure for our Ventura OS project, focusing on quality at scale.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new features across Android platforms, including mobile and TV.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Kotlin code using Coroutines and Jetpack Compose.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and mentoring of junior engineers.
- Continuously improve performance, reliability, and developer experience across devices.
- Advocate for best practices in Android development and contribute to technical decision-making.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Android development with a deep understanding of the Android SDK.
- Proficiency in Kotlin, including Coroutines for asynchronous programming.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for modern UI development.
- Solid understanding of architecture patterns (MVI, Repository pattern, Interactors/Use Cases).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to mentor and support other engineers.
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or interest in cross-platform development.
- Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks (e.g., Hilt or Dagger).
- Experience with performance optimization, accessibility, and analytics.
