About the Role
This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles, including support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. The maintenance team ensures operational effectiveness by providing proper preventive care and timely repairs to equipment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles.
- Repair gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling, and mechanical systems.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain related records.
- Ensure the aircraft services team operates effectively through preventative equipment care and timely repairs.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with health, safety, and security policies.
- Perform accident inspections on involved equipment.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience or graduation from a technical school.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid US driver's license.
- Must be comfortable lifting/moving 70lbs.
- Mechanics are required to perform duties of other positions as needed.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
