About the Role

Big Potato aims to Light Up the Moments We Share Together with easy-to-learn, laughter-first games. As the company scales globally, we are recruiting into our Ecommerce team to own the day-to-day trading of Amazon, TikTok, and Shopify accounts, focusing on forecasting, pricing, and margin. This role involves leading a team and collaborating across departments to ensure cohesive ecommerce strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop two Ecommerce Managers, setting clear priorities and fostering proactive commercial ownership.
  • Lead the weekly ecommerce trading rhythm, ensuring actions are completed.
  • Serve as the day-to-day escalation point for the team.
  • Continuously improve team processes, exploring AI and automation opportunities.
  • Own the delivery of ecommerce revenue and profit targets.
  • Monitor marketplace and channel performance to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Drive actions on key trading metrics including revenue, traffic, conversion, BSR/rank, availability, pricing, profitability, and promotions.
  • Support forecasting and contribute to pricing, margin, and promotional strategy.
  • Oversee commercial and operational performance across Amazon markets (US, UK, Germany, Canada, and beyond).
  • Maintain marketplace fundamentals: availability, pricing, content, promotions, and catalogue health.
  • Coordinate major trading moments such as Prime Day, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, and Q4.
  • Support the growing presence on Walmart.com and Target.com, collaborating on promotional and discount planning.
  • Partner closely with Performance Marketing, Retail/Sales, Operations/Supply Chain, International Sales, Creative, and Finance to coordinate ecommerce priorities.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in Amazon ecommerce (typically around 6+ years, with achievement being more important than exact tenure).
  • Experience managing and developing people.
  • A track record of owning significant revenue targets.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, with a good understanding of ecommerce KPIs.
  • Confidence in prioritizing, making independent decisions, and constructively challenging others.
  • A proactive, organized, and commercially curious approach.
  • Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for increased effectiveness.
  • Experience with Shopify, TikTok Shop, Walmart, or Target is a plus.
  • Experience expanding into new international marketplaces is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets or BI tool experience is a plus.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience is welcome.
