About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and delivery-focused Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of projects within our global Product Development program, primarily in small domestic appliances and consumer goods. This role will manage the project management layer across the development pipeline, ensuring efficient product progression from sourcing through to launch. You will integrate timelines, actions, dependencies, and risks across various departments into a clear project plan. Working closely with the Product Development Lead, you will translate business deadlines into structured plans, monitor progress, address missed dates, and escalate risks.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain integrated project schedules across the Product Development pipeline from sourcing through to launch.
- Translate critical deadlines into achievable internal plans.
- Define and maintain milestones, dependencies, owners, and actions across active projects.
- Track progress, identify delays, and proactively highlight conflicting dates, missing information, or resource constraints.
- Follow up on actions, maintain momentum, and escalate issues when projects are at risk.
- Provide clear visibility of project and programme status to the Product Development Lead and wider stakeholders.
- Work closely with Product Development Executives to ensure alignment with the overall schedule.
- Partner with Sourcing and QA to maintain supplier, sample, tooling, testing, production, and delivery milestones.
- Coordinate with Compliance to ensure regulatory requirements and testing are completed on time.
- Manage Copy and Artwork schedules, ensuring timely inputs, reviews, approvals, and supplier submissions.
- Work with Commercial, Operations, and launch teams to maintain visibility of launch dates and material project risks.
- Connect teams and ensure dependencies are clearly understood and actively managed.
- Maintain clear tracking of project actions, risks, and dependencies.
- Identify issues early and work with project owners to establish recovery actions.
- Challenge plans or dates that are incomplete, inconsistent, or unlikely to deliver the required outcome.
- Escalate material risks, resource conflicts, and decisions to the Product Development Lead or relevant functional leader.
- Ensure decisions and changes are accurately reflected across project plans and stakeholder communications.
- Introduce structured project management practices and consistent ways of working across Product Development.
- Improve project trackers, planning tools, meeting structures, and reporting.
- Apply practical project management methods without over-engineering the process.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve visibility, and increase delivery speed.
- Help establish repeatable standards that can scale as our portfolio, categories, and regions grow.
- Act as an operational extension of the Product Development Lead in the day-to-day management of the development programme.
- Provide concise, decision-ready reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and required actions.
- Take ownership of routine coordination and follow-up.
- Support programme prioritisation by providing clear visibility of workload, critical dependencies, and delivery risk.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in project management or project coordination, ideally within product development, consumer goods, manufacturing, or another physical product environment.
- Some experience within consumer goods, product development, manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, or a related industry.
- Understands core project management principles including milestone planning, critical paths, dependencies, actions, risks, and status reporting.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously.
- A strong communicator who is comfortable following up actions, challenging missed dates, and working across technical, commercial, and creative teams.
- Comfortable coordinating with international sourcing teams and suppliers across different functions and time zones.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the judgement to resolve routine issues independently and escalate when senior input is required.
- Commercially minded and comfortable working in an environment where pace and efficiency matter.
- Takes ownership, goes above and beyond and thrives in an entrepreneurial business where people are expected to get stuck in and make things happen.
