About the Role
To safely operate, maintain, and improve a packing line to meet the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) plan cost-effectively and to agreed customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Operate packing line(s) and other offline equipment to safety, environmental, quality, hygiene and output standards
- Complete required quality checks, compare results against specified parameters and follow Company Quality procedures for action where required
- Adjust plant when appropriate to ensure agreed specifications are maintained
- Use FLT’s to supply lines with packaging equipment
- Use knowledge and experience to anticipate problems where possible and to solve problems when they do occur using relevant CI tools
- Record quality and performance data, and monitor line performance trends and material usage taking corrective action where appropriate
- Clearly communicate handover information and issues within packing team of Operators and Maintenance Technicians
- Involvement in continuous improvement projects where appropriate
Requirements
- Experienced operating packing or production machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Keyboard skills and IT aptitude to input and access data
- Verbal & written communication skills to accurately describe problems, causes and solutions
- Planning skills to ensure routine activities can be completed
