About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Disseminate research widely through journals, books, and exhibitions.
  • Lead external networks and partnerships.
  • Engage in consultancy and collaborations.
  • Undertake external examining roles.
  • Lead significant departmental or faculty roles (e.g., Programme Director, REF/TEF lead).
  • Mentor colleagues.
  • Chair committees.
  • Contribute to faculty-level decision making.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in a relevant subject.
  • Chartered/Professional status where relevant.
  • Senior Fellowship of HEA (Descriptor 3).
  • Strong expertise in core electrical and electronic engineering, including circuits, semiconductors, communications, control, power systems, and electromagnetics.
  • Ability to bring engineering concepts to life through practical, real-world challenges.
