About the Role

This role requires an inspirational leader with proven flair and commercial ability, as well as the skill, energy and determination to drive and develop the business. We're looking for a manager with the experience of developing the standards and reputation of this new gym whilst nurturing a growing membership base and team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures in the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
• Maintain the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks, reporting and chasing all defects to ensure the building and equipment are safe.
• Recruit and manage employed Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to ensure operational cover and daily expectations are met.
• Hold regular team meetings for development and updates.
• Work towards achieving all set sales and membership targets.
• Drive and maximize secondary spending revenue.
• Ensure the entire gym facility is maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness.
• Ensure in-house cleaners (General Assistant) maintain the highest cleaning standards.
• Manage the weekly banking process to minimize wastage and variance, maximizing profit.
• Ensure all team members and self adhere to uniform standards.
• Deliver outstanding member service at all times.
• Create an environment where the team enjoys their work.
• Act as an ambassador for JD Gyms.

Requirements

• Proven and successful track record of management experience within a leisure-related industry.
• Passion for customer service and inspirational leadership.
• Proven track record in driving sales and coordinating local marketing activity.
• Proven track record in recruiting and managing a successful team.
• Experience as a General Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility, or substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or similar operational function.
