About the Role

Provide support to Hope House residents and create a hospitable and safe environment in the shelter.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to shelter residents.
  • Monitor resident activities within the shelter.
  • Complete daily Shift log checklist.
  • Review and record the Communication Log each shift.
  • Conduct security wanding upon resident admission and random checks.
  • Monitor the physical facility by making rounds every half hour.
  • Conduct periodic inspections to ensure rooms are clean and the facility is secure.
  • Ensure clients are abiding by house rules.
  • Make referrals to alternative emergency shelter providers when Program beds are unavailable.
  • Perform electronic intakes in the database.
  • Complete accurate time sheets in a timely manner.
  • Check individual work email daily.
  • Attend and participate in monthly Staff meetings/Resident meetings.
  • Attend relevant In-Service training/conferences as requested.
  • Complete all mandatory training (in-person and online) in a timely manner.
  • Clean linens.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility (inside and perimeter).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Activities, duties, or responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice due to business needs.
