About the Role

This internship offers a unique opportunity to support and maintain enterprise applications on Windows-based servers, focusing on ensuring the reliability, performance, and operational readiness of business-critical applications. You will gain hands-on experience in application support, upgrade coordination, software deployment, proactive monitoring, performance tuning, automation, security collaboration, and technical documentation within a dynamic financial services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing critical enterprise applications on Windows platforms, ensuring stability, responsiveness, and up-to-date status.
  • Support the planning and execution of application upgrades, coordinating seamless transitions with minimal disruption.
  • Participate in the deployment of application updates and patches, learning the end-to-end software lifecycle maintenance process.
  • Conduct daily health checks on the application ecosystem to monitor performance and ensure consistent availability.
  • Assist in identifying and troubleshooting application performance issues to improve availability and user experience.
  • Explore opportunities to improve efficiency by identifying manual tasks that could be streamlined with AI-powered automation.
  • Assist with tasks ensuring applications align with internal security standards.
  • Contribute to the knowledge base by documenting application configurations, changes, and support procedures.
  • Review business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, including leveraging AI.

Requirements

  • Registered students returning to school in 2026 in a related field (BCom, BA, BSc, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, judgment & decision-making skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate and prioritize time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Genuine interest in technology and a strong desire to learn about enterprise applications and the Windows server environment.
  • Basic grasp of IT concepts such as software updates, data backup, and system maintenance.
  • Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python from class projects.
  • Familiarity with virtual machines (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Previous customer service or technical support experience.
