About the Role
Sumitomo is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their precision manufacturing team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines and various other machinery.
Responsibilities
- Examine machines to diagnose issues, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment
- Repair CNC machines and/or robotics
- May occasionally make replacement parts
- Perform general preventative maintenance of machinery
- May need to provide work training to less experienced maintenance staff
Requirements
- Ability to work under limited supervision with minimal technical guidance
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
- General knowledge and skill with basic hand tools
- Ability to follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standards
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.+
Skills
- Preventive industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Previous experience with CNC grinding and/or machining equipment is a plus
