About the Role
Operate and program Wire EDM/Vollmer machines to produce high-precision components, ensuring quality and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Wire EDM/Vollmer machines (FANUC/Sodick) to produce high-precision components.
- Perform PCD and carbide cutting.
- Monitor machine performance, make adjustments, and troubleshoot issues.
- Load and unload work pieces, install and align tooling, and perform machine adjustments.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for Wire EDM/Vollmer machines (FANUC/Sodick).
- Make adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on Wire EDM/Vollmer machines (FANUC/Sodick).
- Identify and report equipment issues to maintenance staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Wire EDM Operator/Programmer in a manufacturing environment (1+ years), specifically with FANUC/Sodick.
- Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, and operations.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
