About the Role

As an Examiner at NFA, you will gain unique insight into the global derivatives industry and its regulatory framework, utilizing your critical thinking, data analysis, and risk assessment skills daily. You will be part of a high-performing team responsible for developing innovative investigative strategies to support NFA's regulatory mission.

Responsibilities

  • Continually monitor Member financial institutions through examinations, financial report analysis, and investigations.
  • Leverage human curiosity to analyze documents, procedures, and financial statements.
  • Evaluate findings for possible compliance deficiencies or rule violations.
  • Provide insight on corrective action Members must take.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated alignment with NFA's values (i.e., demonstrates approachability, trustworthiness and courtesy; behaves with integrity).
  • Candidates who have not yet completed an intermediate accounting course, or equivalent, must do so by the start date.

Education Level

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-oriented major required
  • Nine credit hours of accounting, including an intermediate accounting class
  • At least six credit hours of accounting completed at the time of application

Salary/Compensations

  • $65,900 - $109,950
