About the Role
The New Republic seeks a digital product manager to oversee all product workflows, from discovery to delivery of roadmapped projects and bug fixes. This role involves managing development products with editorial, business teams, and external vendors, requiring strong communication skills to explain digital processes and priorities to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily and weekly stand-up meetings with the digital director and developers.
- Create, update, and organize Asana tickets to inform stakeholders of progress and identify development blocks.
- Ensure developers understand their priorities.
- Act as a liaison between the digital director and editorial/publishing stakeholders regarding product build status.
- Document developers' monthly estimated and actual development hours for tickets.
- Create and maintain detailed product roadmaps for large projects.
- Coordinate daily deployments.
- Document and report daily site speed and other optimization details.
- Report the success of optimization initiatives deployed on the website.
- Enforce protocol standards for visual and editorial modifications for marketing, outreach, and engagement projects.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in project and/or product management.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical staff.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple short- and long-term projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to firmly enforce protocols across departments and outside vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly respond to staff technical queries via Slack and Asana.
- Demonstrated ability to create clear agendas for meetings.

Skills
- Expert knowledge of Asana.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Page Insights, and other web performance analytical tools.
- Ability to obtain and interpret traffic analytics.
