About the Role
Get Golfing is seeking an exceptional General Manager for The Arkley 9, a distinctive golf venue in London. The role requires a commercially astute, operationally sharp, and outstanding people leader to drive the venue into its next phase of growth, focusing on revenue generation, operational excellence, and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth across green fees, memberships, hospitality, and events.
- Identify and execute new business opportunities, particularly in the functions and celebrations market.
- Deliver accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial control.
- Oversee daily operations across the course, Spike Bar, clubhouse, and events spaces.
- Work with the Course Manager to maintain exceptional playing conditions.
- Ensure all health, safety, and compliance obligations are met.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Create a positive, respectful working environment.
- Build strong relationships with members, societies, local partners, and event clients.
- Position The Arkley 9 as the venue of choice for short-format golf, society days, and celebrations.
- Ensure every visitor experiences excellent service.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience within golf, hospitality, leisure, or a comparable customer-focused environment.
- Strong commercial acumen, with a track record of growing revenue and optimising operations.
- Excellent people leadership, with the ability to build cohesive teams and maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in making decisions independently and managing a varied workload.
- Flexibility to support the demands of a busy, event-led operation.
