About the Role
A Children's and Young People's Services Strategic Finance Business Partner at Lewisham Council delivers high-level strategic business and financial advice to senior leaders, helping the council meet its corporate goals, manage budgets, and build strong financial plans.
Responsibilities
- Give expert financial and business advice to senior managers and directors.
- Help create and manage budgets and financial strategies.
- Support business cases for new projects.
- Lead on budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Build strong relationships with service managers and senior leaders.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Support the delivery of savings and transformation programmes.
- Ensure resources are used effectively to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements
- Experience of working with the DSG and social care budgets.
- Relevant CCAB qualification is needed.
- Some evening work maybe occasionally needed.
