About the Role

ARCO/Murray is seeking a Civil Engineer to perform site due diligence, design and draft land development concept plans, and guide clients through the initial stages of their building projects within the Austin market.

Responsibilities

• Research and collect site-specific information to initiate the land development process and perform site investigative due diligence.
• Design and draft multi-building land development concept plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D for commercial and industrial uses.
• Prepare schematic site plan, grading, and utility plans to illustrate site developability based on learned constraints.
• Perform stormwater detention analysis, site utility design, and earthwork analysis to inform site planning for cost and constructability.
• Meet with internal and external customers to review concept plans, discuss advantages to multiple approaches, and define project direction with the Design/Build contracting team.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering or other Engineering or Design discipline.
• 2-8 years' of land planning experience in Austin.
• Ability to perform stormwater detention analysis and site utility design calculations independently.
• Ability to read and understand local zoning codes, stormwater management codes, FEMA floodmaps, FWS wetland maps, record civil and survey drawings.

Skills

• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience creating AutoCAD Civil 3D templates and styles is a plus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required.
