About the Role

Stantec's New York City office is seeking a Technical Lead to support its growing infrastructure practice and lead project delivery efforts across the New York City Metropolitan area. You will work with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team on building, transit, and rehabilitation projects.

Responsibilities

Lead development of design deliverables, ensuring compliance with design criteria, standards, and specifications.
Provide oversight and technical overview of designs, advise on constructability, and serve as the Technical Lead or Engineer-of-Record for transportation, buildings, schools, and commercial structures.
Monitor progress against design milestones for timely project completion.
Mentor and develop engineers, sharing knowledge and guiding professional development.
Lead the preparation of construction documents in accordance with agency standards.
Lead the resolution of complex technical problems and exercise independent decision-making.
Review and approve construction documents and provide design support during construction activities.
Lead coordination with internal disciplines including highway, traffic, geotechnical, drainage, and lighting.
Provide QA/QC oversight, monitoring the work of structural engineers and ensuring technical excellence.
Lead client development initiatives and coordination, including deliverables, submittals, meetings, and review comments.

Salary/Compensations

Pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Final compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on agreed working hours.
