About the Role
As an Operations Associate, you will maintain a high standard of operational excellence and create systems to maximize efficiency within the New York City store. You will manage purchasing and inventory, develop operational best practices, and support vendor negotiations and facilities renovations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high-standard of operational brilliance throughout the New York City store.
- Create storewide systems that maximize efficiency.
- Execute day-to-day and long-term purchasing and inventory.
- Engage in short-term and long-term thinking on best operational practices using data and experience.
- Assist in negotiations with and the management of vendors, especially in support of the student food service program and facilities renovations.
- Assist with student enrollment and student record maintenance.
- Work to strengthen relationships with customers, vendors, and co-staff to foster a strong bookstore community that is safe and welcoming.
