About the Role
This is a collaborative role working directly with the Senior Producer to produce editorial and custom video and audio content. The ideal candidate will balance high-end production values with commercial viability, helping to unlock new revenue streams while interfacing professionally with editors, reporters, and clients. This role is integral to reaching Haymarket's dedicated and loyal B2B audience, requiring energy, creativity, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical execution of studio-based content, including setup, lighting, breakdown of multicam gear, engineering sessions, managing multi-mic mixes, monitoring audio levels, live camera switching, and managing on-screen graphics.
- Serve as the technical lead on location for remote and live event recording, handling logistics and troubleshooting of field equipment, capturing high-quality interviews, and fast-paced sizzle reel footage.
- Edit editorial podcasts, custom client interviews, and social media clips using professional editing software (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, Logic, Audition, etc.).
- Collaborate with editorial teams, commercial staff, and clients during recordings, helping to storyboard content ideas, script intros/outros, and coach talent.
- Actively collaborate to identify and structure sponsorship opportunities across content, brainstorming and executing formats that allow clients to be seen and heard, driving revenue without sacrificing narrative quality.
- Manage podcast publishing workflows, including RSS feed management, ad insertion, and commercial campaign tracking.
- Assist with technical needs for internal live video, town halls, and events.
Requirements
- 3-5 years in multimedia production with hands-on experience in audio, video, podcast, or broadcast studio environments.
- Proficiency in professional NLEs and DAWs.
- Familiarity with basic studio hardware and production operations, including PTZ cameras, multi-input video switchers, multi-channel audio consoles, and basic studio lighting.
- Experience working with external clients or senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage the pressure of a live recording environment.
- Ability to switch between technical and creative tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with relevant software, remote recording, and streaming platforms (Riverside.fm, OBS, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to create and interpret standard signal flow diagrams to set up, troubleshoot, and optimize studio and field AV routing.
