About the Role
You will be responsible for new business on and around our AI-native platform, focusing on features with real USP character, our data product, a growing partner ecosystem, and the monetization of our interfaces. You will report directly to the Director of Product and work closely with Product Owners, Product Engineers, and product managers within our group.
Responsibilities
- Identify and build cutting-edge features with real USP character, from discovery and benchmarking to build-vs-partner decisions, business case validation, pilot testing with actual businesses, and handover to operations.
- Expand our existing data product as a business, covering business intelligence and benchmarks for customers, as well as data offerings for industry partners. You will be responsible for key figure selection, anonymization logic, and pricing and delivery models.
- Lead our partner ecosystem as a product, determining necessary plugin categories, suitable partners, and implementation order. You will be responsible for the product interface per partner.
- Develop a repeatable partner onboarding process, from initial contact and commercial terms to technical onboarding, quality standards, certification, and go-live.
- Define access and conditions for using our interfaces. Develop a unified pricing and licensing model across product lines and negotiate it with partners.
- Develop our data strategy and, together with Legal and Engineering, design the opt-in and consent framework for data usage within our network.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bringing products or business areas from scratch to pilot, including discovery, benchmarking, build-vs-partner decisions, business case validation, piloting, and handover.
- Experience as a Product Owner/Product Manager for platform, API, or ecosystem products, with responsibility for products whose users are developers, partners, or third-party providers, and an understanding of how marketplaces and partner networks grow.
- Strategic and commercial ownership capabilities, including analyzing contracts and terms, developing pricing and licensing models, and representing them credibly to partners.
- Technical depth for API discussions, enabling communication with partners and engineering on interfaces, data models, and integration architecture without direct implementation.
- Data product experience, including developing or enhancing products from operational data, with a solid understanding of data quality, modeling, and consent setup.
- Innovative mindset with an AI-native working style, including self-testing ideas, building prototypes with AI tools and coding agents, and validating hypotheses before committing engineering resources.
- Very good German language skills (minimum C1, ideally native level) and good English skills (minimum B2) for collaboration in an international product and engineering environment.
- Willingness to collaborate regularly with the team on-site in Stuttgart (at least 2 days every 2 weeks). Ideally residing in Stuttgart, but Berlin or other locations within Germany are also possible.
