About the Role
As a District Manager, you will own the success of your district by managing service delivery across apartment communities, leading a team of Service Valets, and serving as the primary contact for property managers. This role emphasizes field leadership and relationship management, requiring significant on-site presence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee service delivery across your assigned district, ensuring nightly valet trash and recycling pickups are completed correctly and on time.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop your team of Service Valets.
- Conduct regular property inspections to verify service quality and resident and valet compliance.
- Provide on-call support to your team and communities as needed.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with property managers through regular site visits and prompt communication.
- Proactively identify and resolve service issues before they become client concerns.
- Ensure daily delivery of valet reports to designated property staff.
- Coach and develop your team members, identifying growth opportunities and providing regular feedback.
- Maintain accurate records across customer, associate, and operational reporting.
- Support new community launches including container distributions and onboarding coordination.
- Drive to properties within your district and to the inventory warehouse as needed.
- Uphold and promote all safety policies; report incidents thoroughly and promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading a team in a field operations, service, or facilities environment.
- Strong communication skills; comfortable building relationships with both frontline workers and property management clients.
- Highly organized and self-directed; able to manage competing priorities across multiple sites without losing the details.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable spending significant time in the field daily.
- Experience in waste management, property management, facilities services, or a similarly distributed field operation.
- Background in hourly workforce management - recruiting, scheduling, and developing part-time staff.
- Familiarity with CRM tools or operations management software.
