About the Role
As inventive transformation consultants, Capgemini Invent blends strategic, creative, and scientific capabilities to deliver cutting-edge solutions. We are seeking a senior, commercially astute Vice President to lead Capgemini Invent's Construction consulting business within our Transport, Infrastructure & Environment sector, shaping and delivering strategy, growth, and client success across the construction, capital projects, and built environment market.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic relationships with major construction clients, infrastructure developers, contractors, programme delivery partners, and asset owners, positioning Capgemini as their trusted digital and business transformation partner.
- Develop and market propositions across digital construction, capital project transformation, digital engineering, connected asset management, data-driven programme delivery, AI-enabled construction, and digital twins.
- Own and drive the growth plan for the Construction consulting business, aligned with Invent's strategy.
- Grow within established construction and infrastructure sector accounts.
- Expand into new clients across construction, major projects, infrastructure delivery, utilities, real estate, and the wider construction ecosystem.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-impact consulting engagements spanning digital transformation, operating model design, business change, technology advisory, digital construction, and capital project delivery.
- Generate c. £4m+ of annual consulting revenue by leveraging industry network, client relationships, market profile, and Capgemini Group capabilities.
- Act as a recognised industry leader in digital construction through thought leadership, industry forums, professional networks, conferences, and client-facing market engagement.
- Engage at Board and C-Suite level, developing trusted client relationships and helping organisations define strategies, transformation roadmaps, and digital construction ambitions.
- Originate and close new consulting opportunities, demonstrating strong commercial acumen and sales leadership.
- Lead and contribute to proposals, bids, proposition development, client pitches, and industry events.
- Contribute to campaign development, thought leadership, white papers, industry insights, practice development, recruitment, team leadership, and offering development across the Construction and Built Environment sector.
- Support professional growth and the development of the wider team through coaching, mentoring, industry engagement, and continued learning.
Requirements
- Deep consulting experience delivering technology advisory, digital transformation, and business change engagements within the construction, infrastructure, and capital projects sector.
- Strong track record of originating, selling, and delivering consulting services to construction clients, including major contractors, developers, infrastructure owners, engineering organisations, and programme delivery partners.
- Established industry profile demonstrated through client relationships, participation in industry bodies, conference speaking engagements, thought leadership, and market visibility.
- Strong knowledge of construction industry challenges, delivery models, and emerging trends including digital engineering, BIM, digital twins, AI, data platforms, connected assets, and modern methods of construction.
- Highly collaborative, with proven success shaping propositions that bring together consulting, business transformation, data, digital, and technology capabilities.
- Experience scaling and inspiring teams, shaping practice strategy, and driving commercial outcomes, including responsibility for c. £4m+ annual consulting revenue.
- Proven ability to operate successfully within a matrix organisation and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
- Experience of proposition development, solution shaping, and consulting engagement delivery within the Construction and Built Environment sector.
- Utilise a combination of own network, Capgemini's existing relationships, and broader market ecosystem relationships to generate c. £4m+ of annual consulting revenues.
- Currently working within a leading consulting organisation, or within the construction industry with a strong consulting background and demonstrable consulting sales and delivery success.
