About the Role
ASU London is seeking staff to contribute to its Engineering and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence programs. Academics should be skilled in guiding students through real-world challenges, supporting multidisciplinary teamwork, and using industry-standard tools. They should be confident in embedding sustainability, ethics, inclusivity, and responsible innovation into their teaching.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality PG teaching, using varied methods and technologies.
- Design modules and contribute to programme structure.
- Lead modules of study and attend exam boards.
- Supervise UG dissertations and PG taught projects.
- Collaborate with partners on real-world projects.
- Establish independent research /practice profile.
- Publish in peer-reviewed outlets.
- Apply for small / medium funding.
- Disseminate via conferences, exhibitions.
- Build professional networks.
- Apply research to external partnerships.
- Present at conferences.
- Take on departmental administrative duties (e.g., Admissions Tutor, Ethics Lead).
- Support programme and curriculum management.
- Work collaboratively across teams.
Requirements
- Strong foundations in engineering principles, mathematics, computational methods, and the application of AI and machine learning to real-world engineering problems.
- Capable of fostering students’ research capability, technical fluency, and confidence in applying AI‑enabled engineering solutions across the curriculum.
- Experience of teaching cyber security to Level 6.
