About the Role
Rho is hiring a Workplace Generalist in San Francisco to own a world-class experience for everyone who walks through our doors. As an in-office company, we take our spaces seriously. Our workplaces are environments that foster connection, collaboration, and higher-quality work — and this role is how critical to making that a reality every day.
Responsibilities
- Own SF’s workplace programming calendar end-to-end — events, activations, community moments, including concept through execution, logistics and budget.
- Partner with People E&E on space planning, sublease transitions, and new-market buildouts.
- Localize Rho’s workplace standard for SF and stay on the real estate roadmap.
- Be SF’s point of contact for workplace and space, building trust across departments and closing gaps before they become tickets.
- Share learnings as Rho stands up new offices, ensuring your contributions are reflected in future locations.
- Monitor office supplies, equipment, and cleanliness.
- Prioritize daily tasks, triage incoming work, protect the team from noise, and set the order of operations.
- Build systems for tracking, documentation, and handoffs to ensure workplace operations are visible and not reliant on a single individual.
- Own the vendor roster across cleaning, maintenance, catering, and security, including sourcing and managing vendor operations.
- Manage inventory and procurement to ensure offices remain fully stocked.
- Own the first-day and last-day experience in SF, including access provisioning.
- Utilize AI daily for writing, research, planning, and operations to enhance productivity.
- Track performance metrics (budget-to-actual, vendor performance, programming quality) to raise standards and improve work processes.
- Lift and move boxes as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years in events, hospitality, workplace, or operations.
- Sharp taste and attention to detail in identifying and solving issues within a space.
- Willingness to perform unglamorous tasks and improve processes.
- Discretion and professionalism for interacting with visitors, executives, and sensitive information.
- Strong time management, precision, and proactive communication.
- System-building capabilities.
- Comfortable using Jira, Slack, and Notion, and quick to adopt new tools.
- Proficiency in using AI as a leverage tool.
- Vendor management, negotiation, or budget oversight experience is a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move boxes.
