About the Role
The Traumatic Brain Injury Research Initiative within the Department of Neurology is seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Clinical Research Coordinator A/B to support the coordination and execution of interventional and observational studies involving acute and chronic traumatic brain injury.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating multiple industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated studies across start-up, conduct, and closeout.
- Gaining experience with neuropsychological assessments, MRI imaging sessions, TMS-EEG, and other research technologies.
- Interacting with patients with brain injury and their families in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Screening medical charts and recruitment.
- Obtaining informed consent and enrollment.
- Scheduling and conducting study visits.
- Performing longitudinal follow-up.
- Preparing and submitting regulatory documents.
- Managing study documentation.
- Preparing for audits and monitoring.
- Providing administrative and operational support.
- Working with greater independence (CRC-B).
- Demonstrating stronger regulatory and clinical trial knowledge (CRC-B).
- Assisting with training and orienting other research staff (CRC-B).
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science and 1 to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required for CRC-A.
- Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required for CRC-B.
- Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking capabilities.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent follow-through and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with federally-funded human subjects research preferred.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organized and flexible.
- Knowledge of PC applications and research databases (Microsoft Excel, RedCap, etc., preferred).
- Position is contingent upon continued funding.
