About the Role
The Territory Account Manager is responsible for selling BDM PS products and services to pharmaceutical or medical device accounts, maintaining sustainable business relationships to manage existing business and develop new business relationships with new accounts. This role also involves working on special projects to support BDM PS business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed sales goals for the territory.
- Plan and organize customer interfaces, including prospecting and daily calls.
- Utilize a lean approach and standard offer to generate profit or maintain sales.
- Develop and obtain approved business cases for customized offers.
- Plan and organize all travel for account visits to maximize coverage and optimize time.
- Establish efficient working relationships with all customer contacts.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of Territory accounts and key decision-makers.
- Participate in internal and external management meetings.
- Provide technical support on the standard offer.
- Problem-solve and provide effective solutions to customers aligned with BDM PS standard offer.
- Maintain records and reporting systems, ensuring they are current and accessible.
- Prepare and maintain customer profiles on sf.com.
- Facilitate customer meetings to drive territory strategy.
- Prepare and submit sales call reports.
- Prepare, submit, and follow monthly reports and sales re-forecasts.
- Develop sales forecasts by account and product lines.
- Prepare and manage commercial and confidentiality contracts.
- Prepare product offers and manage the pipeline of leads and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records on competition and advise management of changes.
- Prepare and submit an Annual Plan for assigned accounts.
- Manage deployment and execution of the Annual Plan.
- Maintain and control expenses in line with company guidelines and budget.
- Participate in trade associations as recommended by Management.
- Manage and support special project initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree level qualification or equivalent combination of education and experience.
