About the Role
Provide forward-thinking analysis and direction to promote and instill consistently effective alignment and execution. Review CI operating results to identify key trends and variances and measure production results against budgets and forecasts. Execute and deliver KPIs, and provide insights on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to key stakeholders. Prepare timely and accurate divisional business performance reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial, portfolio, and market analysis using data mining and analytics to support Commercial business priorities.
- Lead data acquisition and collaborate with internal and external partners to develop actionable business insights.
- Deliver timely and relevant performance metrics to Commercial leadership while reducing duplication of reporting efforts.
- Identify and implement improvements to data structures and automated reporting processes.
- Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of Commercial Insurance initiatives, including KPI enhancements and process improvements.
- Track initiative progress, manage risks and issues, and provide regular updates against key milestones.
- Maintain governance and oversight of initiative tracking, communications, and escalation processes.
- Partner with Finance, Actuarial, and Business Intelligence teams to support performance measurement, reporting, and compliance with governance and regulatory requirements.
- Successful clearance of background checks (including criminal checks and leadership references).
Requirements
- University degree in Math/Statistics, Applied Science, Business, or a related program.
- 5+ years of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience.
- Analytical focus and a statistical background are considered assets.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is a must-have.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerQuery.
- Related work experience using Tableau for dashboard creation and trend identification.
- Prior work experience with GCP BigQuery.
- Ability to use data to help inform decisions from the perspective of management and other internal stakeholders.
