About the Role
As a member of the team at Vapor Stone Rail Systems, you will be responsible for performing electro-mechanical production assembly work according to engineering drawings, product specifications and quality standards. You will be responsible for your own quality of work and must meet company and ISO standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform electro-mechanical production assembly work according to engineering drawings, product specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure quality of work meets company and ISO standards.
- Acquire materials for specific tasks.
- Complete tasks on time.
- Collaborate within a team and cross functionally.
- Interpret quality requirements.
- Train new employees in accordance with work standards/instructions.
- Work with team or self in assembly areas, including line work or group assembly.
- Perform other duties outside of your function or trade, with adequate training provided if necessary.
Requirements
- Must be safety conscious.
- Must be able to read assembly drawings.
- Must have mechanical skills.
- Must have advanced knowledge of the use of hand tools.
- Must be self-motivated with ability to work independently with no guidance.
- Must be able to follow written work instructions/procedures.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Willingness to adapt to change.
- Must be able to collaborate within a team and cross functionally.
- Must be able to interpret quality requirements.
- Must have basic understanding of electrical test equipment (megger, hi-pot, multi-meter, etc.).
- Must be detail oriented.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office suite & basic computer functions.
- Knowledge of mechanical/ electrical assembly techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to use hand and pneumatic tools.
- Must be able to read electrical schematics.
- Must be able to read pneumatic diagrams.
- Ability to crimp, perform soldering procedures, assemble wire harnesses, etc.
- Standing, bending, twisting for 8 hours per day.
- Ability to lift 40lbs.
- Wearing PPE including hearing protection, hard hat, bump cap cut resistant gloves at various times based on current project.
- Safety glasses & steel/composite toe shoes are required for entirety of shift.
- Must successfully pass initial and random drug screenings.
- May require step stools or ladders.
