About the Role
The Global Manager of Operations & Governance is responsible for building and scaling the operating model that enables draftLine to deliver best-in-class social work globally. This role oversees agency operations, newsroom execution, governance, resourcing, and financial processes, ensuring teams are set up for efficiency, collaboration, and high-quality delivery at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead the operating model for the Global Hub, ensuring seamless collaboration across draftLine functions, ABI Global Brands, external partners, the Argentina Production Hub, and 14 local draftLine studios.
- Drive governance, operational excellence, and scalable ways of working across the ecosystem.
- Own the end-to-end setup and operation of approximately six global newsrooms annually across key megaplatforms and cultural moments.
- Manage and track newsroom and staffing investments.
- Oversee resource planning, budget forecasting, financial reporting, expense tracking, and partnership with Finance to ensure effective budget allocation and fiscal accountability.
- Partner closely with Strategy, Insights, Creative, Production, and Brand teams to optimize workflows, remove operational roadblocks, and enable teams to deliver high-quality social work at speed and scale.
- Serve as a trusted operational partner to senior brand leaders, draftLine leadership, and external agencies.
- Lead alignment across stakeholders, provide recommendations on resourcing and operating models, and foster strong collaboration across global and local teams.
- Continuously improve team structures, workflows, governance frameworks, and operational processes to increase productivity, scalability, and overall business impact across draftLine's global organization.
Requirements
- Proficiency with project management and team collaboration platforms
- Strong experience in financial management tools and processes, including budgeting and expense tracking
- Strong knowledge of project management frameworks and ability to recognize inefficiencies
- Deep understanding of agency roles, responsibilities, and processes
- Experience with team resourcing, including creative production and digital/social static and video asset creation
- Drives accountability for delivering consistently excellent results across their organization by modeling high-standards and operating with discipline
- Readily adapts when priorities shift based on changing circumstances, new data, or something they’ve learned
