Responsibilities
- Applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families.
- Assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery.
- Develops specialized skills in Cardiac Care, including telemetry monitoring.
- Provides care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical and/or surgical conditions.
- Educates patients and families to assist in understanding self-care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to support health and healing.
- Promotes comfort and provides emotional support in a healing environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Registered Professional Nursing
- Current NYS License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
