About the Role
This is a high-profile position providing reception and information services, as well as clerical support for the HEAP energy assistance team located at Lifespan.
Responsibilities
- Greets and screens all energy assistance walk-in clients.
- Accepts completed applications and assists clients with application questions.
- Organizes and tracks all applications, including screening and sorting a large volume of mail and incoming faxes.
- Maintains government-regulated monitoring systems/reports.
- Answers a large volume of telephone calls to provide program process and access information, as well as application status.
- Provides general clerical support for staff and clients.
- Organizes and prepares materials for mailing.
- Filing and scanning.
- Maintains and orders office equipment and supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of clerical experience.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Experience with the older adult population preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a busy, stressful environment.
- Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Must be able to lift, stand, and bend for filing purposes.
- Ability to work in multi-cultural situations.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
