About the Role
The Senior Analyst will support Canada Technology Finance by partnering with Tech leaders to drive long-term strategic outcomes. The role will operate across multiple strategic workstreams and is expected to independently manage complex deliverables including business case development, financial modelling, initiative tracking, reporting and executive storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of detailed financial models to evaluate the viability and impact of strategic technology initiatives and investments.
- Own end-to-end business case development including cost-benefit analysis, scenario modelling, and executive-ready recommendations.
- Provide recommendations on investment decisions, alongside summarized business case summaries, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and adherence to approved budgets.
- Develop and deliver clear, structured, and compelling presentation materials that translate complex analysis into executive-level insights.
- Financial management of multiple initiatives across the technology strategy portfolio, including tracking budgets, forecasts, benefits, and financial performance metrics.
- Partner with initiative owners and cross-functional teams to monitor financial performance and identify risks.
- Deliver timely and accurate management reporting, including executive summaries, commentary, and insights to support high value outcomes.
- Support cloud financial reporting including consumption tracking, unit cost analysis, variance reporting, and optimization insights across platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting, data quality, and processes, including automation and dashboarding opportunities (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, AI Agents).
Requirements
- Strong experience in financial modelling and business case development in a complex, strategic environment.
- Consulting experience or exposure to strategy/transformational environments is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear and compelling narratives for senior leadership.
- Understanding of FinOps principles, including cloud consumption tracking, credit utilization, and financial governance of cloud spend.
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated strategic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, Power Automate or other reporting automation tools is an asset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across technology and finance teams.
- University degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in finance, consulting, or strategy roles, preferably within financial services or technology environments.

- $80,400 - $130,400 annually
