About the Role
St. John's is seeking a Food Service Utility Worker to join their family. This role is responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, silverware, utensils, pots, and pans used in the kitchen to serve residents and personnel.
Responsibilities
- Washing and sanitizing dishes, silverware, utensils, pots, and pans.
Requirements
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.
- Ability to remain flexible and ready to assume other responsibilities assigned.
- Applicant must have an interest in improving skills.
- Must have a working knowledge of dishwashing machine and procedures used to wash dishes in a large kitchen.
- Applicant must be willing to perform manual work cooperatively with others.
- Requires standing for long periods, walking and heavy lifting.
- May walk on wet surfaces.
- Will work with cleaning chemicals and hot water.
