About the Role

GXO is seeking a resilient and proactive Warehouse Operations Controller for their Greene King contract in Greenford. This role involves optimizing daily shifts, deputizing for the Warehouse Operations Manager, and leading a high-performing team. The Controller is accountable for the safe, compliant, and efficient running of all operational departments during their shift, including people, stock, equipment, security, health & safety, and service delivery.

Responsibilities

Overall accountability for site operations during shift, including people, stock, equipment and security
Leadership and coordination of Warehouse Shift Managers to deliver agreed service levels and KPIs
Control and oversight of stock from receipt through to dispatch, ensuring inventory accuracy and stock integrity
Management of operational costs in line with agreed budgets, including labour, agency and fleet utilisation
Effective deployment of resource to meet volume, throughput and service requirements

Requirements

Proven experience in a senior visible operational leadership role within logistics, distribution or a comparable environment
Demonstrated ability to lead managers and large teams in a fast-paced, pressurised environment
Strong knowledge of health & safety, food safety, security and operational compliance requirements
