About the Role

We are seeking a structural engineer/structural planner/statics expert to perform static planning for our mobile communication sites. Mobile communication experience is advantageous but not required. Solid knowledge in structural planning and a willingness to learn about the specifics of mobile communication sites are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural planning for mobile communication facilities, including static calculations and verifiable proofs for new, modified, and expanded mobile communication sites.
  • Plan antenna support structures, including dimensioning steel structures, antenna masts, supports, and substructures for antenna and system technology.
  • Manage load transfer into existing structures by evaluating existing load-bearing structures and verifying the safe transfer of additional loads into the existing building fabric.
  • Develop technically sound and economical solutions for our sites in collaboration with our planners and designers.
  • Review planning documents, including basic, execution, and existing plans, for static feasibility.
  • Define and accompany investigations of existing building structures and evaluate the findings as needed.
  • Support the planning team with static issues and coordinate with testing engineers, clients, authorities, and other project stakeholders as necessary.
  • Contribute experience to continuously develop technical solutions and planning processes.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent), ideally with a focus on structural engineering / structural planning.
  • Professional experience in structural planning.
  • Solid knowledge of dimensioning according to Eurocode, especially in steel construction.
  • Experience with existing buildings, steel structures, or mobile communication sites is advantageous.
  • Registration as a qualified structural engineer / building permit authorization is desirable.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Good German or English language skills.
  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working.
  • Interest in developing practically implementable solutions together with our planning team, not just calculating statics.
