About the Role
Design and ship AI systems and automation workflows that solve real business problems, knowing when to leverage LLMs versus simpler deterministic logic.
Responsibilities
- Build data pipelines and orchestrated automation workflows.
- Develop AI pipelines with LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval where they add real value.
- Create RAG systems and agents grounded in real company data.
- Implement integrations that connect AI outputs to actual business tools and processes.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), and prompt engineering and evaluation.
- Experience with RAG pipelines, embeddings, and vector databases.
- Skilled in workflow automation and orchestration, including agents, triggers, and conditional logic.
- Strong judgment on when to use AI versus deterministic logic.
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline design, SQL, data modeling, and API integrations is a plus.
- Familiarity with Airflow, Prefect, dbt, BigQuery/Snowflake, and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) is a plus.
- Experience with LangChain/LlamaIndex, n8n/Make/Zapier, and Docker is a bonus.
- Ability to build reliable systems from scratch, not just demos.
- Experience in data engineering or early-stage startups is likely.
- Ability to move fast, ship often, and iterate on results.
