About the Role

An experienced Advanced Practitioner is sought to join a new Risk Outside The Home (ROTH) team, working collaboratively with partner agencies to assess needs, deliver interventions, and support adolescents with complex issues including child sexual exploitation, serious youth violence, group offending, and missing from home. This role aims to safeguard vulnerable individuals and ensure access to appropriate support services, contributing to the Family Service's goal of achieving the best possible outcomes for all children and young people in Barnet.

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with partner agencies.
Play a key role in assessing needs.
Deliver effective interventions.
Support young people.
Safeguard vulnerable individuals.
Ensure access to appropriate support and services.
Deputise for the line manager when unavailable.
Demonstrate expert and effective practice in complex situations.
Assess and manage higher levels of risk independently and guide less experienced social workers.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework and policies related to safeguarding children.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in writing assessments and plans for young people.
Proven experience in demonstrating impact on families to achieve positive outcomes for children.
Experience in influencing professional networks.
Innovative and positive engagement with children and families in their assessments and plans.
Passion for delivering high-quality services and interventions to vulnerable children in partnership with a wide range of agencies.
Ability to practice at a higher level.
Ability to assess and manage higher levels of risk on their own.
Ability to manage risk for other less experienced social workers.
