About the Role

Community Executive to join the Founders Forum Events team, playing a key role in growing and engaging our community. This permanent role is for an individual ready to take a step up from a junior community role and eager to develop their skills in tech, events, and community management.

Responsibilities

  • Research and onboard new members to the Founders Forum community, keeping CRM data accurate and comprehensive.
  • Compile lists of potential invitees and speakers from external networks, partner organisations, and internal teams.
  • Stay up to date across tech, business, and political news to flag new prospects and community members.
  • Support analysis of segments within the Founders Forum database using CRM, enrichment tools, and marketing hub to identify growth opportunities.
  • Use tools such as PitchBook, Dealroom, and Sales Navigator to identify and pursue new routes to key prospects and VIPs.
  • Maintain Looker dashboards to provide regular status updates and act on various reports.
  • Write and deploy engaging content, tailored by audience segment across various platforms.
  • Build and manage event registration sites, coordinate invitations, registrations, and handle event enquiries in the community inbox.
  • Help produce community-facing event materials (e.g., FAQ website, guest books, event app content, name badges, seating plans).
  • Support the team on the ground at Founders Forum events, helping guests have a smooth, memorable experience.
  • Help troubleshoot issues in real time as they come up, escalating where needed.
  • Contribute ideas on engagement, new formats, and ways to add value for the global Founders Forum network.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in a community, events, or other relevant role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient writer with creative copywriting skills (English language).
  • Experience working in events, either as part of a previous role or in a dedicated events role.
  • Experience preparing and presenting research, reports, and data-driven insights.
  • Aptitude for data analysis and a natural curiosity.
  • Comfortable using AI tools like Claude to streamline day-to-day work, with an interest in finding new ways AI can make processes faster and smarter.
  • Able to pick up new platforms quickly and works confidently across tools such as Swoogo, PitchBook, Grip, and Looker Studio.
  • Passion for technology and its broader context, including current affairs, politics, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
  • Comfortable with gen AI tools and picks up new platforms quickly.
  • Motivated and organised, able to prioritise and adapt when workflows change last minute.
  • Keen to learn and take direction well, with an ability to work independently.
  • Naturally takes initiative and gravitates towards responsibility.
  • Great at receiving feedback and quick to action it within workflow.
  • Team player who is happy to assist colleagues with tasks as required.
