About the Role
Goliath is seeking an experienced packaging designer to develop innovative packaging for their globally recognized toys and games. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate product concepts into compelling retail-ready designs, influencing brand, hierarchy, structure, and visual elements.
Responsibilities
- Develop packaging for new products and existing brands.
- Translate product concepts into effective retail packaging.
- Influence brand strategy, hierarchy, structure, photography, and typography.
- Collaborate with product, brand, and commercial teams.
- Work with international colleagues in Europe, the UK, the US, and Hong Kong.
- Liaise with photographers, illustrators, and external agencies.
- Ensure packaging concepts are technically feasible for production.
- Manage print, packaging structures, artwork, and production processes.
Requirements
- A strong portfolio showcasing produced and sold consumer packaging.
- Approximately 7-10+ years of relevant design experience.
- Proven conceptual and graphic design abilities.
- Excellent typography and composition skills.
- Solid understanding of packaging, print, and production.
- Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Experience with consumer brands, ideally in toys, games, FMCG, or similar sectors.
- Ability to provide design judgment and not just execute briefs.
