About the Role
To deliver CRM communications for commercial and engagement campaigns through email marketing channels, building, tracking and reporting on National Rail product campaigns and automations to drive customer retention and maximise lifetime value across the Railcards, Days Out Guide and National Rail Enquiries databases.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver CRM and email marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Build, track and report on National Rail product campaigns and automations.
- Support customer retention and maximise customer lifetime value across the Railcards, Days Out Guide and National Rail Enquiries databases.
- Schedule, build and run database extracts and reports.
- Apply email best practice, including ESP optimisation, responsive HTML/CSS email coding, A/B testing, dynamic content and deliverability.
- Use database segmentation and personalisation to produce relevant customer communications.
- Develop and maintain effective collaborative and cross-functional relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and departments.
- Monitor and manage campaign performance using data, analytics and reporting.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of email best practices, including ESP optimisation, responsive design, A/B testing, dynamic content, deliverability, segmentation, personalisation and performance management.
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS email coding, together with strong computer literacy.
- Strong numeracy and extensive experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using database campaign segmentation for personalised communications.
- Hands-on technical knowledge of email service provider and CRM platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud; experience may also include Salesforce Journey Builder or Adobe Campaign.
- At least 1–2 years’ experience in a similar agency-side or in-house B2C marketing role.
- Data and analytics experience.
- A strong operational and commercial mindset, with a decisive, delivery-focused and return-on-investment approach.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong commitment to customer experience and enthusiasm for the role.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
