About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, service, and troubleshoot automation systems and plants.
  • Install, configure, and optimize IT systems, as well as pneumatic and electrical drive systems.
  • Analyze functional relationships and process flows.
  • Monitor and maintain systems, performing regular checks.
  • Optimize control loops and analyze faults.
  • Design modifications and expansions of automation systems.
  • Utilize test software and diagnostic systems, taking immediate action when necessary.
  • Provide customer support and manage quality.
  • Take responsibility for the operation of power plant facilities on-site.
  • Work in modern control rooms.
  • Contribute to the security of supply for electricity and district heating in Berlin.
  • Actively participate in the energy transition and support the transformation of facilities.
  • Operate new, modern plants in a dynamic environment.
  • Work in a modern and digital environment, supporting the introduction of VR, AI, and robotics.
  • Control Berlin's district heating network using state-of-the-art technology.

Requirements

  • Good school-leaving certificate.
  • Good German language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Manual dexterity and electrical and logical understanding.
  • Communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good color perception.
  • Willingness to work shifts.
