About the Role

BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH is seeking individuals for an apprenticeship as an Electronics Technician for Plant Engineering with advanced training as a Certified Power Plant Operator. This role is crucial for maintaining Berlin's energy supply and advancing the company's climate goals.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and commission electrical systems, including control cabinets.
• Utilize control engineering knowledge for system setup and optimization.
• Plan and execute work independently.
• Operate and manage power plant facilities from modern control rooms.
• Contribute to the energy supply security of Berlin with electricity and district heating.
• Support the transformation of energy systems and the replacement of fossil fuels.
• Work with modern and digital technologies including Virtual Reality, AI, and Robotics.
• Operate state-of-the-art control systems for the Berlin district heating network.
• Ensure compliance with the latest standards in performance, display, and safety.

Requirements

• Good school-leaving certificate.
• Good German language skills, both written and spoken.
