About the Role

As a Full-Stack Data Engineer (w/m/d), you will be responsible for building and scaling our central Data Layer, the foundation for our BI systems, process automations, and future AI applications. Initially, your focus will be 100% on Data Engineering to establish the technical foundation. Subsequently, your role will split between Data Engineering (building, maintaining, and expanding the Data Layer & automations) and workflows in close collaboration with our AI Automation & Systems Engineer. You will experience short decision-making paths, full ownership from day one, and a setup you help shape.

Responsibilities

Independently set up and manage infrastructure components (e.g., a self-hosted Prefect instance) on Linux/Docker servers.
Connect new data sources (e.g., via dlt) and develop robust, scalable pipelines to BigQuery.
Transform and model raw data in BigQuery using dbt, SQL, and Python.
Develop smart automations and AI-supported workflows in collaboration with the AI team, based on the data foundation you build.

Requirements

2-4 years of practical experience in Data Engineering.
Very good knowledge of SQL and Python.
Comfortable with Linux command line, secure Docker knowledge, and ability to host tools independently.
Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery or comparable cloud data warehouses.
Fluent German (C1 minimum) and good written and spoken English.
Pragmatic full-stack approach with an 'end-to-end' mindset.
