About the Role
We are bringing accounting in-house for the first time, with a focus on building an AI-driven, modern finance function. This hands-on role reports directly to the Head of Finance, offering full ownership of daily financial operations including collections, AP, payroll, bookkeeping, and month-end close for US and UK entities. The position offers a genuine growth path into technical accounting, compliance, and treasury work, ideal for someone who prefers building processes over inheriting them.
Responsibilities
- Own collections and AP, serving as the primary contact for customers and vendors.
- Manage bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end close for both US and UK entities.
- Oversee payroll and sales commissions in collaboration with Sales and RevOps teams.
- Assist in selecting and implementing finance stack tools and managing expenditures.
- Develop and integrate AI-driven automation for reconciliations, reporting, and closing processes.
Requirements
- Qualified with strong in-house experience (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of processes and deliver completed work independently.
- Enjoys building operational playbooks.
- Possesses a meticulous attention to detail, often identifying overlooked issues.
- Enthusiastic about leveraging AI to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
- Experience with multi-entity or cross-border (US/UK) accounting is a plus.
