About the Role
As a Senior Analyst within Deloitte’s Securitisation and Mortgage Advisory team, you will play a key role in helping clients unlock the value of their loan receivable portfolios with support on securitisation transactions. You will also provide specialist support to major lenders, banks and financial institutions on complex regulatory matters under the National Consumer Credit Protection (NCCP) Act and related regulatory frameworks. The role combines technical understanding of financial services regulation and securitisation, with practical consulting capability to help clients navigate their obligations, strengthen controls, and respond to a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. You will lead the delivery of engagements for our clients and provide guidance to junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in helping clients unlock the value of their loan receivable portfolios with support on securitisation transactions.
- Provide specialist support to major lenders, banks and financial institutions on complex regulatory matters under the National Consumer Credit Protection (NCCP) Act and related regulatory frameworks.
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams across a range of engagements, including securitisation transactions, buyer and vendor due diligence in M&A deals, and bespoke advisory work tailored to client needs.
- Lead the delivery of engagements for our clients.
- Provide guidance to junior team members.
- Conduct research and analysis of client needs.
- Prepare high-quality reports, advice, and client-ready materials.
- Collaborate within project teams.
- Contribute to the development of methodologies and tools.
- Begin to build client relationships through active participation in external forums and client meetings.
- Drive team’s performance by on the field coaching and playing to each team member’s strengths.
Requirements
- Bachelor or equivalent degree in accounting, finance or a related area.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in audit, finance, compliance, project management, credit, lending operations, securitisation or a related field.
- Experience in credit products and services across various asset types including residential mortgages, small and medium enterprises loans, commercial and equipment finance.
- Awareness of securitisation funding structures with a keenness to learn about detailed cashflow modelling, asset and liability analysis, portfolio stratification, and scenario testing.
- An understanding of loan origination, credit assessment and servicing gained from experience working in or alongside the banking or non-bank lending industry.
- Experienced in project management, including working with various internal and external stakeholders, and running multiple projects simultaneously.
- Interest in building relationships in market and able to confidently communicate with senior external stakeholder.
- Experience in financial services regulation, ideally gained from an advisory, legal, or regulatory background.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects within a fast-paced client service environment.
- Strong interest in working in a multi-cultural team, cross-functional creative collaboration and building long-lasting relationships and personal brand in the industry.
- Investment in yourself and the team development, monitoring securitisation market trends, regulatory developments and incorporate these insights into client engagements and internal training initiatives.
